AirAsia X Inaugurates Flight to Nairobi
AAX launches KUL - NBO route starting November 15, 2024.
AirAsia X (AAX) has launched four weekly flights from Kuala Lumpur to Nairobi, Kenya, connecting Malaysia to East Africa.
The inaugural flight, which was completed on November 15, 2024, departed Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur International Airport (Terminal 2) at 19:00hrs (local time) and landed at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 23:00hrs (local time).
Passengers on flight D7 101 were seen off by key dignitaries, including representatives from the Malaysian Ministry of Transport and the Kenyan High Commission in Malaysia. The flight had a load factor of over 90 per cent, according to AirAsia X.
On November 16, 2024, the first return flight from Kenya’s capital, Nairobi to Kuala Lumpur arrived, welcomed by Tourism Malaysia. The return flight, D7 102, touched down at 15:10hrs (local time) with a load factor of over 70 per cent, as noted by the airline.
