The IATA Wings of Change Focus Africa (WOCFA) stands as a premier industry event in the region, gathering aviation leaders, regulators, and subject matter experts to engage in discussions on the key challenges and opportunities in air transport.

Together, they collaboratively formulate future strategies to enhance the utilisation of air transport as a catalyst for economic and social development throughout the African region.

The next edition of WOCFA will take place on July 2-3 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The 2nd UN Tourism Regional Conference on Brand Africa, themed “Promoting Africa to unlock tourism investments and the sector’s growth potential,” will be held from July 22-24, 2024, in Livingstone, Zambia.

Open to the participation of UN Tourism Member States, UN Tourism Affiliate Members, invited delegations, tourism professionals and technical experts, representatives of funding institutions and financial services, and stakeholders from public and private sectors, the Conference aims to drive the management and transformation of the tourism sector in Africa.

The goal is to promote the continent as an attractive and competitive destination worldwide.

Brand Africa and Tourism Think Tank

Following the Conference, the UN Tourism will host the Brand Africa and Tourism Think Tank. This closed forum is reserved for the Chief Executive Officers and General Managers of Africa’s National Tourism Organizations (NTOs), Marketing Directors at the Ministries of Tourism, and key tourism private sector stakeholders.

They will discuss effective communication, marketing, and branding strategies to build a solid and consistent image of the continent. The ultimate goal is to rebuild market confidence and reignite Africa’s tourism sector in the post-pandemic phase.

The Farnborough International Airshow 2024 (FIA2024) takes place from July 22 to 26. 

Leading innovators from the aerospace, aviation, defence, and related industries will gather at the event. 

The airshow expects to attract over 1,200 exhibitors from 44 countries, featuring 27 international country pavilions. 

Additionally, 250 civil, military, and space delegations and nearly 75,000 visitors from over 100 countries are anticipated. 

FIA2024 focuses on six key themes: space, defence, sustainability, innovation, future flight, and workforce – pivotal to the aerospace industry today.
