Abu Dhabi International Airport Terminal A Set to Boost Passenger Capacity from November 2023

Abu Dhabi International Airport has announced that Terminal A will commence operations on November 1, 2023. With this development, the passenger capacity in Abu Dhabi is expected to significantly increase.

Etihad Airways will conduct a ceremonial flight on October 31, a day before the terminal’s public opening. The new terminal is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, which will enhance the travel experience for passengers and airlines in the region.

Phased Transition into Terminal A

Airlines will transition into Abu Dhabi International Airport’s Terminal A over two weeks, divided into three phases. Wizz Air Abu Dhabi and 15 other international airlines will initiate flights from the new terminal on November 1.

Etihad Airways will operate 16 daily flights from November 9 and become fully operational at its new home on November 14. By that date, Terminal A will host a total of 28 airlines.

Operational Readiness Trials

In anticipation of the opening, operational readiness trials are set to conclude on October 17, 2023.
