AFCAC to Convene High-Level Briefing at Aviation Africa 2025
African aviation leaders to meet in Kigali on September 4 to align on policy, safety, and sustainable aviation development

The African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC) will convene a High-Level Briefing and Coordination Meeting during the 9th edition of the Aviation Africa Summit & Exhibition in Kigali, Rwanda.
This strategic session on September 4, will bring together African Ministers, Directors General of Civil Aviation, and other senior decision-makers.
The objective, as outlined by event organisers, is to align on critical policy priorities, technical strategies, and joint advocacy that will influence the continent’s aviation future.
Focus on SAATM, Safety, and Sustainability
Key topics for discussion will include safety oversight, sustainable aviation development, fair competition, and the accelerated implementation of the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM)—a priority echoed throughout recent regional engagements.
According to AFCAC, this session is a strategic moment to coordinate leadership roles and reinforce Africa’s influence in global aviation decision-making.
Participation is considered a firm commitment to a common African aviation future and is instrumental in amplifying the continent’s aviation agenda on the world stage.
