Air Algérie Commences Algiers–Abuja Flights

ALG-ABV service operates weekly via Douala

Air Algérie (AH) has officially launched its new passenger service connecting Algiers and Abuja, Nigeria, as of Sunday, April 6, 2025.

The service, which includes a stop in Douala, Cameroon, is operated under fifth freedom traffic rights, allowing passengers to book tickets for the Douala–Abuja segment as well, according to the airline.

Air Algérie stated: “This development is part of our broader plan to expand our network across Africa and foster stronger ties between Algeria and Nigeria.”

This launch follows earlier reports confirming the airline’s plans for the Algiers–Abuja service.

As previously noted, the route uses Boeing 737-600 aircraft, with one weekly frequency incorporating Douala.
