ALG-ABV service set to start April 2025, pending final confirmation

Air Algérie (AH) reportedly plans to inaugurate a new route connecting Algiers to Abuja, Nigeria, in April 2025.
This initiative, part of the airline’s network expansion, aims to provide greater flexibility for travellers.
Local media indicates that Air Algérie CEO Hamza Benhamouda revealed on Tuesday (February 18) that coordination is underway with the Ministry of Transport and the Algerian Embassy in Nigeria to finalise the necessary arrangements.
Algiers-Abuja-Doula Route
Data from AeroRoutes indicates that the airline will operate the Algiers-Abuja-Douala route using Boeing 737-600 aircraft on a weekly basis.
As a result, the current nonstop Algiers-Douala service will be reduced from two to one weekly flight.
