Air Cairo Welcomes New Leadership with Captain Ahmed Shannan
Captain Ahmed Shannan takes helm at Air Cairo, effective March 5, 2024.
Air Cairo (SM), welcomed the appointment of Captain Ahmed Shannan as its new Chairman and Managing Director, effective from March 5, 2024.
Captain Shannan takes over from Mr. Hussein Sherif, who stepped down after a successful four-year tenure that saw Air Cairo achieve numerous accomplishments across all levels of the company, the airline noted.
The appointment ceremony took place at Air Cairo’s headquarters in Cairo, attended by the Minister of Civil Aviation. The Minister thanked Mr. Sherif for his contributions and wished success to the new management team under Captain Shannan.
Captain Shannan’s Career Highlights
According to Air Cairo, Captain Shannan, before his appointment, served as the Chief Operating Officer and the General Manager of Safety and Quality. He is an ICAO-approved trainer.
His contributions have been instrumental in Air Cairo’s achievements over the past four years. With his experience and leadership, Captain Shannan is poised to guide Air Cairo to new milestones.
