Air France-KLM Signs Codeshare Agreement with Airlink

New partnership enhances connectivity in Southern Africa with 14 domestic destinations added.

Air France-KLM has revealed the launch of a new codeshare agreement with South African carrier Airlink, effective December 3, 2024.

This partnership enhances connectivity for Air France and KLM customers, offering access to various Southern Africa destinations via Johannesburg (JNB) and Cape Town (CPT) airports, including 14 domestic routes serviced by Airlink.

Under this new agreement, members of Flying Blue, the loyalty programme of Air France-KLM, can earn miles on Air France and KLM-marketed flights operated by Airlink.

Expanding the African Network

Air France-KLM and Airlink stated they plan to extend this partnership in the future to include additional destinations in Angola, Botswana, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eswatini, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, St Helena, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, pending approval from the relevant authorities.

Air France and KLM currently operate up to 14 weekly flights to Johannesburg and 14 weekly flights to Cape Town, departing from their respective hubs at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
