Air Senegal (HC) is expanding its capacity by adding Let L 410 NG aircraft to its fleet.

The first two turbolet units were delivered to Air Senegal in late March 2024, according to Czech civil aircraft manufacturer – Aircraft Industries.

Today, we are also strengthening our position in the African market,” said Jiří Podpěra, President of OMNIPOL. “Our aircraft offer numerous advantages due to their specific characteristics. Therefore, I believe Senegal will join the ranks of many satisfied customers operating these legendary machines across the African continent,” he added.

The two recently delivered units departed from Uherské Hradiště, Czech Republic, and completed a route exceeding 5,000 kilometres with four stopovers before arriving at Dakar’s Blaise Diagne International Airport.

Aircraft Industries highlights the 19-seater L 410 NG’s include better flight performance, enhanced efficiency, modern technologies, and innovative avionics.

Notably, the new model has a longer range, carries an extra 500 kilograms of cargo, and a doubled luggage compartment.

Network Restructuring

Data from AerRoutes indicates that during the first quarter of 2024, Air Senegal removed up to four European destinations from its booking system.

These included Dakar-Barcelona, Dakar-Marseille-Lyon-Dakar, and Dakar-Milan Malpensa.

Looking ahead, ch-aviation reports that the airline plans to serve recently refurbished airports within Senegal, including St. Louis Ousmane Masseck Ndiaye, Kolda, Ziguinchor, Cap Skirring, Kédougou, and Ourossogui.
