Air Seychelles Resumes Mahe-Abu Dhabi Flights

6X Weekly service commences May 24, 2025, after six-year hiatus

Air Seychelles has resumed commercial operations to the Middle East, marking its return with the inaugural flight HM19 from Abu Dhabi on May 24, 2025.

The service, operated by the airline’s Airbus A320 aircraft ‘Pti Merl de Zil’, arrived at Seychelles International Airport at 12:35 hrs, carrying 157 passengers and receiving a traditional water cannon salute—marking the end of a six-year hiatus.

At a welcoming ceremony, Minister for Transport Antony Derjacques emphasised the route’s impact, stating:

Air Seychelles CEO Sandy Benoiton reinforced the airline’s renewed focus, noting:

  • HM18 Seychelles → Abu Dhabi: Departs 20:30, arrives 01:05 (Daily except Thursdays)
  • HM19 Abu Dhabi → Seychelles: Departs 07:50, arrives 12:25 (Daily except Fridays)

The new six-weekly service expands Air Seychelles’ network, offering seamless onward connections via Etihad Airways to Europe, Asia, and the USA.
