Air Sierra Leone Launches Freetown-Lagos Route
Freetown-Lagos (FNA-LOS) flights start 3x weekly with Embraer from January 2025
Air Sierra Leone, a privately-owned airline, completed its maiden flight between Freetown and Lagos, Nigeria, on January 22, 2025.
The Freetown-Lagos service will operate three times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, between Freetown Lungi International Airport (FNA) and Murtala Muhammed International Airport (LOS), using a 50-seater Embraer ERJ145 aircraft.
Connecting Sierra Leone with Africa
General Manager Edgard D. Lacle stated:
“The launch of our Freetown-Lagos route is a significant step in establishing Air Sierra Leone as a bridge connecting Sierra Leone with the rest of Africa.
“This route promotes trade, tourism, and cultural exchange, offering our customers a reliable and comfortable travel experience.”
Future Expansion Plans
On the occasion of the launch of Lagos flights, the airline highlighted its aspirations to position Sierra Leone as a key hub in the region.
Future plans include expanding to Ghana, Liberia, and Senegal, with more destinations expected in the coming years.
