Air Zimbabwe Plans To Rejoin IATA

Air Zimbabwe (UM) plans to rejoin International Air Transport Association (IATA) – following securing funds to pay its outstanding debt. IATA Clearing House (ICH) is the settlement platform for the air transport industry. The Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development, Hon. Felix Mhona confirmed the progress during an announcement of the airline’s substantive board on August 01, 2022. 

Air Zimbabwe will have to aggressively pursue joint venture relationships with all key SADC airlines. This will promote trans-border air travel by promoting by providing seamless flight connectivity via coordinated flight schedules. – Dr Silvanos Gwarinda, Board Chairperson, Air Zimbabwe.
