Falko Regional Aircraft Limited (Falko) has announced the completion of the delivery of four Embraer E175 aircraft on lease to Airlink (4Z) in South Africa.

The E175 fleet was delivered on behalf of Falko’s managed fund, Falko Regional Aircraft Opportunities Fund II (Fund II).

Two deliveries concluded in Q4 2023, and the final two occurred in August and September 2024. Airlink now operates E170, E175, and E190 aircraft from Falko’s managed portfolio.

Enhancing Regional Connectivity

Mark Hughes, Falko’s Chief Commercial Officer, stated that the transaction expands Falko’s footprint in Africa, a key market for regional aircraft.

He noted, “We expect to see significant growth and opportunities in the African aviation market over the next couple of decades as countries look to improve connectivity across and into the continent in a bid to facilitate economic growth.”

CEO on Benefits for Airlink

Airlink CEO and Managing Director, Rodger Foster, highlighted the flexibility provided by the leased Embraer E175s. The E175s allow us to offer consistent top-quality service across more routes,” he said.

Foster also emphasised the importance of commonality with other E-jets for aircrew training, flight operations, and technical support.
