The National Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Angola (ANAC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on air services with the Republic of Guinea on Friday, July 26, 2024, in Luanda, Angola.

The meeting, attended by delegations from both countries, led by their respective heads, Amélia Domingues Kuvíngua for ANAC and Sekou Oumar Thiam for the Guinean Civil Aviation Authority (AGAC), aimed to finalise the intention of bringing the two countries closer together in terms of air services, under the Yamoussoukro Decision, ensuring the revitalisation and effective implementation of the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM), to galvanise the industry at the continental and global level.

Angola reiterated its commitment to regional air connectivity, a position it has held since being named ‘Champion State for Inter-regional Air Connectivity’ by the African Civil Aviation Commission (CAFAC).
