Beond Adds A321 Aircraft

Beond (B4), the world’s first premium leisure airline, announced the lease of a new Airbus A321 aircraft in February 2024.

The new aircraft will operate reconfigured to seat 68 passengers in premium, all-lay-flat seating, featuring Beond’s signature dark grey and copper livery.

This addition joins the existing A319, providing premium travel experiences to the Maldives, as highlighted by Beond.

We are on track to operate 32 luxurious aircraft within five years,” said Beond’s Chairman and CEO, Tero Taskila. “This reflects our commitment to providing a groundbreaking business model and a pioneering passenger experience.”

Beond is expanding to Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. New flights from Milan, Dubai, and Bangkok to the Maldives will launch mid-2024.

Tech upgrade with Apple Vision Pro

In February 2024, Beond announced an enhanced in-flight entertainment experience. Select passengers on flights to the Maldives will have access to the Apple Vision Pro starting in July 2024.

“Offering the Apple Vision Pro is another step in our vision of delivering a premium travel experience to our customers, from the start to finish of their journey. We’re proud to be the first airline to deploy the technology.”

The premium airline noted that its passengers will also enjoy immersive Maldivian experiences alongside its existing content, in partnership with local operators. This aims to build passenger anticipation for passenger arrival in the Maldives.
