The partnership aims to improve operational efficiency, strengthen technical capabilities, optimise and expand market and route networks, and support fleet modernisation—aligning with Angola’s focus on developing its aviation industry to enhance connectivity and economic growth.

According to Ricardo Viegas D’Abreu, Minister of Transport for Angola, “This partnership with Boeing represents a significant step forward in our commitment to enhancing operational capabilities.” He highlighted the goal of positioning TAAG as a leading airline in Africa.

Brad McMullen, Boeing’s SVP of Commercial Sales and Marketing, remarked that this partnership underscores Boeing’s commitment to supporting the growth of Angola’s aviation sector.

Boeing’s aircraft currently account for nearly 70% of Africa’s commercial fleet, with a projected need for over 1,200 new aircraft in the next 20 years, as noted in Boeing’s 2025 Commercial Market Outlook.
