Boost for Uganda-UK Travel: Uganda Airlines Plans Direct Flights to London 

Uganda Airlines (UR) is preparing to launch direct flights between Uganda and London, United Kingdom.

A team led by CEO Ms. Jenifer Bamuturaki met with UK aviation authorities, business communities, and the Ugandan diaspora community in London from June 11th to 15th, 2024, as per a recent Facebook post by the Uganda High Commission to the UK.

These meetings served to discuss the new route and its implementation in the near future.

Expected Launch by 2024-end

The planned service is expected to launch by the end of 2024 and will significantly improve connectivity between Uganda and the UK.

The High Commission emphasised that the direct Entebbe-London flights will boost bilateral trade and tourism between the two nations.
