British Airways Opens £100K Fully-Funded Pilot Training Scheme

British Airways Opens Applications for the Speedbird Pilot Academy.

On September 19, 2023, British Airways opened applications for its fully-funded pilot training scheme, the Speedbird Pilot Academy.

The airline will shoulder the entire training cost of £100,000 for each of the 60 prospective pilots in the programme.

Applications for the scheme can now be submitted via the airline’s careers website and will close within seven days, the airline announced.

Successful recruits will also have accommodation and food costs covered during their 16-month training period.

Training will begin in early 2024, and upon completion of the course, recruits will land a full-time, salaried pilot position with British Airways.
