British Airways has recently announced the reopening of its lounge at Lagos Airport (May 2024).

The lounge, which underwent a six-month refurbishment, now offers a luxurious space for customers to relax, dine, or work.

A Modern Space for Customers

The refurbished lounge, spanning 360 square metres, has been designed to cater to different customers’ needs.

It features a self-serve dining area with a variety of freshly made dishes, a newly built bar serving a range of drinks, and a quiet room with day beds.

Celebrating Local Art

In a bid to celebrate its strong association with Nigeria, British Airways stated it has partnered with Akoje Gallery to curate an innovative in-lounge exhibition featuring local artists.

The first showcase, themed ‘New Beginnings’, marks the reopening of the lounge.

A Strategic Investment

Calum Laming, British Airways’ Chief Customer Officer, said that the redesign of the Lagos lounge is part of their transformation strategy across their lounges worldwide. He expressed confidence that customers will enjoy spending time in the newly refurbished space.

The lounge is open to customers travelling in Club World (business) and First, as well as Silver and Gold Executive Club Members.

British Airways operates a daily flight between London Heathrow and Lagos, with four cabins to choose from: First, Club World (business), World Traveller Plus (premium economy) and World Traveller (economy). It’s worth noting that its ‘preferred aircraft’ is the Boeing 787-10
