Additional Frequencies and Non-Stop Flights

Nairobi, Accra, Freetown and Conakry

Nairobi (Kenya) and Accra (Ghana) will have daily rotations, while Banjul (Gambia), Freetown (Sierra Leone), and Conakry (Guinea) will see additional frequencies.

Dakar and Abidjan

Dakar (Senegal) and Abidjan (Ivory Coast) will benefit from more direct flights instead of triangular routes.

Kinshasa

Starting in March 2025, Kinshasa (DRC) will have daily direct flights, replacing the current schedule of five direct flights and two with an intermediate stop in Luanda (Angola).

Brussels Airlines’ CEO, Dorothea von Boxberg, stated, “Kinshasa is without a doubt our flagship route […] Upgrading this route to a daily non-stop connection shows our unwavering commitment to the Democratic Republic of the Congo.”

Supporting Connectivity to Angola

The carrier outlined that, to support these changes, Lufthansa will operate three weekly direct flights between Luanda and Frankfurt, ensuring connectivity to Angola.

The last Brussels Airlines flight to Luanda will be on March 25, after which all passengers will be rebooked to Lufthansa flights, meaning all flights to Luanda will now be non-stop.
