Brussels Airlines (SN) has announced plans to significantly grow its long-haul fleet by adding three Airbus A330 aircraft, bringing its widebody fleet to 13 in the coming years.

Additionally, the airline will invest over 100 million euros in a brand-new cabin interior for all three classes: business, premium economy, and economy.

The national carrier has also signed a contract with a wet-lease partner to seasonally operate four Airbus A220 aircraft starting from the summer season of 2025.

Brussels Airlines Focus on Africa

Brussels Airlines – the Africa expert within the Lufthansa Group, has stated its intention to strengthen its position on the continent, citing growing populations and economies as key drivers of increased demand for air travel.

The additional Airbus A330 aircraft will primarily be used to reinforce the airline’s Sub-Saharan Africa network, aiming to make Brussels a European hub for flights to and from Africa.

Significant Investment in New Cabins

The airline has stated that it plans to gradually introduce a brand-new cabin interior to enhance the inflight experience on long-haul destinations. Details of the new cabin will be revealed at a later stage.
