Cape Town International Airport Voted Skytrax Best Airport in Africa 2024
Cape Town Airport and Durban King Shaka Airport were the major award winners in Africa for 2024.
Cape Town International Airport (CTIA) has been named the Best Airport in Africa for 2024 at the Skytrax World Airport Awards, held at the Passenger Terminal EXPO in Frankfurt on 17th April 2024.
CTIA also received recognition as the Best Airport Staff in Africa and the Cleanest Airport in Africa.
Durban’s King Shaka International Airport was named the Best Regional Airport in Africa and also the Best Airport for under 5 million passengers.
The InterContinental OR Tambo in Johannesburg was awarded the Best Airport Hotel in Africa.
On a global scale, Doha’s Hamad International Airport (HIA) was named the World’s Best Airport 2024.
HIA also secured four other awards including Best Airport in the Middle East, World’s Best Airport Shopping, Best Airport for 40-50 million passengers, and the Cleanest Airport in the Middle East.
