Cape Verde Unveils New Airline – Linhas Aéreas de Cabo Verde
State-owned airline to enhance inter-island connectivity and tourism

The Cape Verde government announced the establishment of a state-owned airline, Linhas Aéreas de Cabo Verde, on Friday, September 6, 2024, to operate inter-island flights.
The Ministry of Tourism and Transport (Ministério do Turismo e Transportes) noted that, in addition to ensuring economic reliability, this initiative aims to promote the “diversification of tourism supply” and encourage tourism on all islands, aligning with the government’s vision for the sector.
