Bloomberg’s reporting (April 15, 2025) indicates that China has reportedly ordered its airlines to halt accepting deliveries of Boeing jets.

This action is understood to be a retaliatory measure amidst the escalating trade tensions between the US and China.

Furthermore, Beijing has allegedly requested Chinese carriers to cease purchasing aircraft-related equipment and parts from American companies.

Bloomberg’s sources indicate this order followed China’s announcement of significant retaliatory tariffs on US goods. The analysis suggests that the ongoing trade war, featuring US tariffs as high as 145% on Chinese goods, has directly impacted Boeing’s operations in a key market.

Boeing’s stock (BA) reportedly saw a decline following Bloomberg’s report of these developments.

China is a crucial market for Boeing, representing a significant portion of future global aircraft demand.
