Congo Airways (8Z) has expanded its fleet with the addition of one Boeing 737-800 aircraft on lease from ACMI carrier Klasjet.

This new addition, with a seating capacity of 174 (12 business class and 162 economy class), is expected to boost the airline’s operations and enhance the passenger experience, as emphasised by the flag carrier of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

Congo Airways announced that the Boeing 737 will commence operations on Friday, November 15, 2024, with flights serving Kindu and Lubumbashi. These domestic routes will be among the first to be operated by the aircraft.
