Delta Expands Free Wi-Fi to West Africa Flights
Free Wi-Fi on transatlantic flights, including West Africa, starting April 2025.

Delta Air Lines (DL) has expanded free Wi-Fi offering to West Africa flights as part of a broader rollout across select transatlantic routes, including Europe and Israel.
According to a statement by the airline on April 7, 2025, passengers flying West African destinations can now access high-speed internet from gate to gate.
The Delta Sync Wi-Fi, powered by T-Mobile, allows SkyMiles Members to connect immediately after boarding rather than waiting until cruising altitude.
Delta outlined it has been progressively installing free Wi-Fi across its fleet, having already completed upgrades on its domestic mainline aircraft.
Ranjan Goswami, S.V.P. – Customer Experience Design, described the effort as a major milestone, stating:
“Thanks to the dedication and expertise of Delta teams, we’re making enormous strides in our efforts to bring fast, free Wi-Fi to every aircraft in our fleet—which in turn will transform our aircraft into personalised platforms where customers can connect and engage in meaningful new ways.”

Delta Strengthens West Africa Connectivity
Beyond its digital upgrades, Delta has also strengthened its commitment to West Africa, announcing early-2025 that it will launch seasonal daily nonstop service between Atlanta and Accra starting December 1, 2025.
Looking ahead, Delta said it plans to introduce dual-network connectivity on select new aircraft (A350-1000 and A321neo) in late 2026, enhancing seatback entertainment with 4K HDR QLED screens, Bluetooth® capabilities, and advanced personalisation features.
