The new widebodies—powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines—offer a range of up to 9,700 nautical miles while consuming 25% less fuel and emitting less CO₂ compared to previous generation aircraft, according to Airbus.

The A350s are also certified for up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) today, with Airbus targeting 100% SAF capability by 2030.

EGYPTAIR Chairman and CEO, Captain Ahmed Adel, outlined the A350s will enable the carrier “to meet rising demand for long-haul travel, support our network expansion plans over the next five years.”

Airbus EVP Sales Benoît de Saint-Exupéry added: “The A350 will be a pillar in EGYPTAIR’s journey…playing a pivotal role in the airline’s continued success, growth and decarbonisation ambition.

This marks EGYPTAIR’s second order for the A350 and further cements its shift toward next-generation long-haul operations.
