Paris Air Show, June 18, 2025—Rolls-Royce has confirmed an order from EGYPTAIR (MS) for an additional 12 Trent XWB-84 engines, designated to power six Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

The latest order increases EGYPTAIR’s total commitment to the Trent XWB-84 engine to 32 units, outlined Roll-Royce. Both companies also signed a TotalCare service agreement for the fleet, enhancing operational support.

Ewen McDonald, Chief Customer Officer at Rolls-Royce expressed gratitude for EGYPTAIR’s continued trust and highlighted the importance of their long-standing relationship, “We look forward to supporting these new aircraft when they enter service later this year.”

The Trent XWB-84 is noted as the “best widebody engine” globally, according to Roll-Royce, designed specifically for the Airbus A350, delivering the lowest fuel consumption among its peers.

Rolls-Royce states that the introduction of the Trent XWB-84 EP variant promises an additional 1% fuel burn saving, equating to approximately $5 million annually for the average fleet.
