Emirates Boosts Dubai-Johannesburg Connectivity with Fourth Daily Flight

Emirates (EK) announced it is adding a fourth daily flight on the Dubai-Johannesburg route.

This follows the recent introduction of the second daily A380 service between Dubai and Johannesburg, which launched on September 1, 2024.

Expanded Flight Schedule

The fourth daily service will begin on March 1, 2025, operated by a three-class Boeing 777-300ER. This addition offers an extra 708 seats in and out of O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB), providing more options for both leisure and business travelers.

EK767 will depart Dubai at 00:10 hrs, arriving in Johannesburg at 06:20 hrs. The return flight, EK768, will depart Johannesburg at 10:15 hrs, arriving in Dubai at 20:15 hrs, introducing a morning departure from Johannesburg.

Increased Cargo Capacity

In addition to boosting passenger travel, the flight increases cargo capacity in and out of South Africa, offering 300 tonnes weekly via the belly of the Boeing 777.

Emirates SkyCargo transports key commodities such as fresh produce, meat, dairy, seafood, and flowers. This flight provides additional opportunities to move goods to destinations like London, Madrid, Kuwait, Hong Kong, and Dubai.
