Emirates has launched its Travel Store concept in Accra, Ghana (20 May 2025) and Port Louis, Mauritius (23 May 2025)—reinforcing its presence in West Africa and the Indian Ocean region.

According to Emirates, these locations offer immersive experiences, integrating technology-driven service enhancements and expert consultation, providing customers with valuable travel support.

Emirates Travel Store in Port Louis, Mauritius

The Port Louis Travel Store, located at The Docks 2, United Docks Business Park, Caudan, was inaugurated on 23 May 2025 by Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, alongside Mauritian government representatives and senior Emirates executives.

Store Features

The 1,895-square-foot space, Emirates states, is designed to offer an interactive experience, featuring:

  • Personalised travel assistance from dedicated Emirates consultants.
  • Self-service kiosks for reservations, ticketing, and travel inquiries.
  • A selfie mirror with digital destination backdrops.
  • Exclusive Emirates-branded merchandise and travel accessories.
  • Showcase of Emirates inflight products available on its aircraft.

MTPA Partnership Signing

The inauguration event also marked the renewal of Emirates’ long-standing partnership with the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed by Essa Sulaiman Ahmad, Emirates’ Senior Vice President, Commercial West Asia & Indian Ocean, and Claire Le Lay, Chairperson of the MTPA.

Presiding over the signing was Mauritius’ Minister of Housing and Lands, the Honourable Shakeel Mohamed.

According to Emirates, the continued collaboration focuses on promoting Mauritius to global markets, supporting tourism growth through initiatives targeted at key regions such as France, the UK, South Africa, and Germany.

To commemorate Mauritius’ 57th Independence Day, Emirates noted its operation an A380 flight with an all-Mauritian crew, symbolising the opportunities its people have embraced globally and the nation’s significance within Emirates’ network.

The airline currently operates two direct daily flights to Mauritius, both served by its flagship A380 aircraft.

Emirates Travel Store in Accra, Ghana

On 20 May 2025, Emirates officially opened its first West African Travel Store at Stanbic Heights, Airport City, Accra.

The inauguration was attended by Adil Al Ghaith, Senior Vice President Commercial Operations, Centre, alongside Ghanaian government officials, including the Minister of Tourism and Minister of Transport.

Store Features

The 310-square-metre store, Emirates notes, integrates customer-focused innovations, including:

  • A full-size Emirates A380 Onboard Lounge replica, allowing travellers to experience its premium cabin offering.
  • Self-service kiosks enabling faster ticketing and inquiries.
  • Selfie mirror installations with digital backgrounds of Emirates destinations.
  • Five customer service counters providing assistance with reservations, itineraries, and Skywards loyalty programme inquiries.

Emirates’ new Travel Stores in Mauritius and Ghana further strengthen its retail presence, offering modernised travel solutions while supporting regional tourism growth across both locations.
