Emirates Implements Virtual Reality for Cabin Crew Safety Training
Self-guided virtual training targets effective and efficient SEP training
Emirates (EK) announced the expansion of its virtual reality training platform, MIRA, to include recurrent Safety & Emergency Procedures (SEP) training for its cabin crew.
The airline outlined the self-guided virtual training program targets recurrent Safety & Emergency Procedures (SEP) training for its nearly 23,000 cabin crew members.
MIRA features highly realistic, 3D cabin interiors of Airbus A380, Boeing 777, and Airbus A350 aircraft, complete with emergency equipment and various environmental settings. Multi-player scenarios with virtual avatars allow crew to practice standard operating procedures in a simulated environment.
