Ethiopian Airlines, Boeing, and ThinkYoung Launch STEM School in Ethiopia

The collaboration to provide underprivileged youth in Africa with skills for better employment opportunities in STEM fields, with a focus on aviation.

Ethiopian Airlines, Boeing, and ThinkYoung have inaugurated a STEM School in Ethiopia. The initiative aims to provide underprivileged African youth, especially women, with skills for better employment opportunities in STEM fields with a focus on aviation.

The STEM School is located at the Ethiopian Airlines Aviation University. The program offers over 300 hours of classes and hands-on experience in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) subjects.

The six-week program will welcome 24 students in grades 11-12 from different regions of Ethiopia, with 50% being girls. The curriculum covers STEM basics, coding, programming, and soft skills such as teamwork and problem-solving.
