Ethiopian Airlines Celebrates 78th Anniversary
Ethiopian Airlines marked its 78th anniversary with flight to Cairo.

Ethiopian Airlines Group, commemorated its 78th anniversary on April 8, 2024.
To mark the occasion, Ethiopian GCEO Mesfin Tasew and CCO Lemma Yadecha accompanied the crew on a special flight to Cairo, replicating the airline’s inaugural international service in 1946.
Notably, the senior leadership went beyond customary duties, assisting passengers during check-in and boarding for a seamless travel experience.
“This event symbolises our unwavering commitment to passengers,” remarked Mr. Tasew. “Serving our passengers on this special flight to Cairo is not just a tribute to our first international service but a reaffirmation of our commitment to the ethos of servant leadership.

Passengers received commemorative postcards and greetings reflecting Ethiopian’s respect for diverse traditions.

By stepping into the roles of our dedicated ground and flight crew, we honor every individual who has been part of our story.”
