Ethiopian Airlines Commences Passenger Flights to Sharjah
ADD-SHJ service operates four times weekly.

Ethiopian Airlines (ET) has launched a new passenger service to Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, effective 1 June 2025.
The route operates four times weekly, between Addis Ababa Bole International Airport (ADD) and Sharjah International Airport (SHJ) expanding the airline’s connectivity in the Middle East.
According to Ethiopian Airlines, the new service complements its existing cargo operations in Sharjah and is expected to facilitate trade, tourism, and cultural exchange between Africa and the Middle East.
Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mesfin Tasew stated that the airline has been connecting Africa and the UAE for nearly five decades, and the new service aims to strengthen investment, tourism, and diplomatic ties between the regions.
