Ethiopian Airlines Connects Addis Ababa and London Gatwick with New Route
Ethiopian Airlines starts three weekly flights to London Gatwick, operating A350 fleet.
Ethiopian Airlines (ET) has launched a new route between Addis Ababa Bole International Airport (ADD) and London Gatwick Airport (LGW), starting November 21, 2023. The flights will be operated three times weekly and serviced by the Airbus A350 fleet.
A Return to Gatwick
This service marks Ethiopian Airlines’ return to London Gatwick after a hiatus since 2006. The airline noted that the addition of Gatwick to their network expands their UK presence, which already includes London Heathrow and Manchester Airports, thereby complementing existing UK operations.
Ethiopian currently operates daily non-stop A350 flights from Terminal 2 at London Heathrow to Addis Ababa, as well as a 5-times-weekly A350 service from Terminal 2 at Manchester to Addis Ababa.
These flights offer connections to over 60 African destinations across East, South, Central, and West Africa, as well as to the Far East and Asia.
Ethiopian’s Addis Ababa-London Gatwick Schedule
The thrice weekly service will be operational every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday as flights ET 718 and Flight ET719.
