Ethiopian Airlines’ Flights to Port Sudan Commence
ET launches daily passenger service to Port Sudan
On October 15, 2024, Ethiopian Airlines commenced its new passenger flights to Port Sudan, a major Red Sea port city in the Republic of Sudan.
The inaugural flight departed from Addis Ababa Bole International Airport (ADD) following a ceremony attended by delegates from the Republic of Sudan to Ethiopia and Ethiopian Airlines’ executives.
CEO on Enhanced Connectivity
According to Mr. Mesfin Tasew, Group CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, “With the launch of this flight today, we will open a new chapter of connectivity in East Africa and the entire continent. We will bring the world closer to Sudan and create a stronger economic link to businesses.”
Port Sudan will be Ethiopian Airlines’ second destination in Sudan, following Khartoum. Ethiopian Airlines will offer daily passenger services to Port Sudan.
