ET Group revenue hits USD 7.02 billion, passenger numbers reach 17.1 million

Ethiopian Airlines Group has announced robust growth for its 2023/24 fiscal year.

According to data released by the airline on July 29, 2024, its operating revenue reached USD 7.02 billion, while passenger numbers reached 17.1 million.

Record Cargo Operations

The airline has also posted its cargo operations milestone, with the airline transporting a total of 754,681 tonnes of freight.

Ethiopian Airlines’ fleet now comprises 145+ aircraft, with an average age of 7.0 years. The airline has an additional 100+ aircraft on order.

Network Expansion: International and Domestic

To cater to growing demand, Ethiopian Airlines has introduced new international destinations, including Gatwick (UK), Madrid (Spain), Bangui (Central African Republic), Freetown (Sierra Leone), Maun (Botswana), and Casablanca (cargo).

Domestically, the airline has expanded its network to Dembidolo, Axum, and Nekemete.
