Ethiopian Airlines Signs Deal for Two Twin Otter 300-Gs with De Havilland Canada
Ethiopian's first Twin Otters will support multi-missions, including medical evacuations and airport calibration work

Paris Air Show, June 17, 2025 — Ethiopian Airlines (ET) has signed a purchase agreement for two Twin Otter Classic 300-G aircraft from De Havilland Canada.
Announced during the Paris Air Show, the move brings the 300-G into the airline’s fleet for the first time.
Configured with amphibious gear, the aircraft will support Ethiopian’s domestic and regional network—including remote strips and the Great Lakes region, according to the airline’s statement.
“We selected the 300-G for its proven performance in difficult environments and its modern enhancements that align with our operational and sustainability goals,” remarks Mesfin Tasew, Group CEO of Ethiopian Airlines.
The 300-G offers enhanced payload, fuel efficiency, and STOL performance, and will also support multi-mission use including medevac and airport calibration work.
