Ethiopian Airlines to Add First Airbus A350-1000 in November 2024
ET is set to operate Africa's first A350-1000 aircraft
Ethiopian Airlines (ET) has announced it will welcome its first Airbus A350-1000 in the fourth quarter of 2024. The aircraft is christened “Ethiopia Land of Origins.”
According to Airbus, Ethiopian currently operates a fleet of 21 A350 Family aircraft. Having signed an MoU for 11 additional A350-900s with Airbus during Dubai Airshow 2023, Ethiopian has expanded its total order book for the A350 to 33, including four A350-1000s.

Ethiopian Airlines, the largest A350 operator in Africa, is set to become the first operator of the A350-1000 variant on the continent.
The A350-1000 is powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines and features a three-class cabin configuration with a total of 395 seats, including 46 business and 349 economy seats.
