Ethiopian Airlines Wins ‘Skytrax Best Airline in Africa’ 2025
RwandAir, Air Mauritius, an LIFT also feature in top ten.
Skytrax presented the 2025 World Airline Awards on June 17 during the Paris Air Show.
Qatar Airways (QR) was named the ‘World’s Best Airline,’ marking a ninth overall win. The ceremony at Le Bourget’s Hall of Eight Columns ranked over 325 carriers globally, according to Skytrax.
In regional results, Ethiopian Airlines (ET) was named ‘Best Airline in Africa’ for the eighth consecutive year.
Strong Showing by Ethiopian Airlines Across Key African Categories
Ethiopian Airlines also ranked first in ‘Best Economy Class in Africa,’ ‘Best Airline Staff in Africa‘, and ‘Best Business Class Onboard Catering,’ as per Skytrax.

RwandAir ranked third and ranked first in the’ Best Regional Airline’ category.
