Etihad Airways and Air Seychelles Announce Codeshare Agreement

Etihad Airways and Air Seychelles have announced a codeshare agreement, allowing customers to travel on a single booking between Etihad’s destinations and Mahe, Seychelles via Abu Dhabi.

The announcement highlighted that this partnership, effective May 2025, will provide Etihad customers access to exotic destinations such as Praslin and Mauritius through Air Seychelles’ direct service beyond Mahe.

Under the agreement, the airlines will collaborate on six weekly flights between Abu Dhabi and Mahe, offering a consistent experience with the same baggage allowance, complimentary food, and inflight entertainment. Etihad Guest members will also earn miles on these flights, according to the airline.

Strategic Collaboration and Expansion

Etihad’s Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, Arik De, noted that the agreement offers increased frequency and convenience for travel between Abu Dhabi and Seychelles, and onward to Mauritius.

He emphasised the seamless integration with Etihad’s global network.

Charles Johnson, Air Seychelles’ Chief Commercial Officer, expressed excitement about launching nonstop flights between Abu Dhabi and Seychelles, with continuing same-plane service to Mauritius.

He assured that the schedule is designed to optimise time in their tropical paradise, enhancing the travel experience.
