Flight 4Z 204’s Runway Excursion at Pemba Airport: Airlink’s Statement

Airlink (4Z) has confirmed that one of their aircraft, an Embraer 135 Regional Jet (ZS-SJX), operating as flight 4Z 204 from Johannesburg to Pemba, Mozambique, experienced a wet runway excursion upon landing on the afternoon of January 18, 2024.

The aircraft had 32 passengers and 3 crew members onboard. According to the airline’s initial statement, no injuries have been reported.

Investigation

In a statement, Airlink has expressed its full cooperation with Mozambique’s investigators as they conduct the formal investigation into the occurrence through their Directorate of Air Accident Investigations.
