flyadeal Expands Egyptian Network with Sohag Launch
flyadeal boosts Egypt services with new Sohag route
Low-cost carrier flyadeal (F3) has added Sohag, Egypt to its network, with the inaugural flight from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, landing at Sohag International Airport (SMB) on November 11, 2024.
The new route marks flyadeal’s second Egyptian destination launch in a single day, following the inauguration of flights between Madinah and Cairo. The airline now operates a total of 44 weekly flights between Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
flyadeal CEO Steven Greenway expressed his enthusiasm for the new route, stating: “Egypt is by far flyadeal’s single biggest international market which the airline has served for almost three years from Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam and, later today, from Madinah.
He added, “Egypt remains commercially and strategically important for flyadeal given the strong cultural and historic ties with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
As part of its ongoing expansion, flyadeal plans to significantly increase its international network starting in early 2025.
