FlySafair Launches Free AI Travel Assistant, Lindi
AI-powered WhatsApp bookings rolled out by FlySafair in regional first.

FlySafair (FA) has introduced Lindi, South Africa’s first free airline AI-powered travel assistant—designed to improve customer service through 24/7 support on WhatsApp.
Lindi currently assists with single-passenger flight bookings, name and seat changes, and general travel queries.
According to FlySafair, the assistant was developed in partnership with Stubber, a local tech firm, and aligns with its broader strategy for tech-enabled service.
“Lindi offers a seamless, efficient and human-like service that I am confident will set a new standard in the airline industry,” says Kirby Gordon, FlySafair CMO.
He adds that feedback has been positive, with many users unaware they are interacting with an AI.
