Ibom Air (QI) outlined plans to expand its network to seven African countries in 2023, local media reported.

The regional destinations, including Ghana, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Liberia, Gabon, and Gambia, are expected to roll out – one after the other – starting from the first half of 2023.

According to the ch-aviation fleets database, Ibom Air fleet comprises five CRJ900s and two wet-leased A320-200s.

In November 2021, the airline signed a firm order for ten Airbus A220s to support its growth strategy and boost operational efficiency.

“We are going to expand regionally […] Right now, we are in the process of tidying up all the international agreements, and once that is done, we would start going to our region.”

-Mrs. Aniekan Essienette, Group Marketing Manager & Communications, Ibom Air.

Additionally, Ibom Air is plans to introduce two new domestic routes to meet local demand.
