Mombasa-Zanzibar Launch

Highlighting their upcoming route launch, Jambojet announced the start of Mombasa-Zanzibar flights from July 1, 2024.

This new route offers flexibility for both local and international travellers seeking to reach Zanzibar via Kenya.

Jambojet expects the Mombasa-Zanzibar route to boost tourism and cargo operations due to the high volume of visitors to both destinations during peak seasons.

Mr. Karanja Ndegwa, Jambojet M.D. and CEO stated, “Our focus areas are network expansion across the region and adding more tonnage to our freight operations.

Their modern Dash 8 400 fleet allows them to serve upcountry and regional markets with limited infrastructure.

Market Share Soars to 52%

Jambojet Chairman Vincent Rague outlined how the airline has established a strong presence in the local and regional market:

Over the past 3 years, our strategy has been focused on consolidating our business and managing our costs. Last year alone, we operated 18,456 flights, a 19% increase from 2022. This contributed to our growth in market share to 52% as at the end of 2023.
