Kenya Airways Introduces Direct Nairobi-London Gatwick Flights
KQ expands UK service with three weekly NBO-LGW flights starting July 2025
Kenya Airways (KQ) will launch a new direct flight route between Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and London’s Gatwick Airport (LGW) starting July 2, 2025.
KQ highlighted that this additional service will complement its existing flights to London Heathrow Airport (LHR), offering customers a second nonstop flight option into London, United Kingdom.
Strategic Importance of the UK Market
Kenya Airways’ Group Managing Director and CEO, Allan Kilavuka, emphasised the strategic importance of the UK market:
“The United Kingdom is essential and strategic for Kenya Airways and Kenya,” the CEO stated. “It provides a gateway for trade, tourism, education, business, leisure travel, and diaspora connections.”
Nairobi-London Gatwick Flight
The new Nairobi-London Gatwick route will operate three times weekly on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
This new service will complement the existing London schedule, increasing the total number of weekly flights to 10, according to KQ.
