Lufthansa Group and FITAC Formalise Strategic Collaboration to Boost Tourism in Central Africa
Lufthansa Group’s FITAC partnership enables access to 310+ destinations via Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian, Brussels, Eurowings, Air Canada, and United Airlines.

The International Tourism Fair of Central Africa, FITAC, has confirmed a strategic collaboration with Lufthansa Group, aimed at facilitating international participation in FITAC 2025, scheduled to take place in Malabo from 27 October to 2 November 2025.
FITAC outlined that, as part of the agreement, FITAC-accredited exhibitors and participants will be able to access exclusive airfare discounts across Lufthansa Group airlines—including Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Eurowings—as well as additional North Atlantic routes operated by Air Canada and United Airlines.
“The collaboration with FITAC reinforces our commitment to the sustainable development of tourism in Central Africa and supports the professionals who work for the integration of this destination in the large international circuits“, said the head of the Lufthansa Group for Africa.
“We want more people to discover the tourism potential of this region, and to facilitate access to FITAC is a key step in this journey.”
FITAC’s organisers welcomed the partnership as “strategic alliance that not only supports the logistics of the event but also strengthens Central Africa’s global tourism presence.”

The collaboration further aligns with efforts to position Equatorial Guinea as a growing tourism destination and improve accessibility to FITAC, which has become an important platform for regional and international tourism development.
With Lufthansa Group’s global network of over 310 destinations, the agreement is expected to facilitate participation from industry professionals, exhibitors, and stakeholders, contributing to broader discussions on African tourism growth and connectivity.
