Lufthansa’s Allegris Cabin Expands to Cape Town in 2025/26 Winter Flight Schedule

Allegris Cabin Rolls Out October 2025 on MUC-CPT; Brussels Airlines increases flight frequencies across six African destinations.

Lufthansa Group has unveiled its 2025/26 winter flight schedule, with bookings now open for travel starting October 26, 2025.

This season marks a significant expansion of Lufthansa’s Allegris cabin, offering upgraded seating in Economy, Premium Economy, Business, and First Class.

Allegris Debuts on Munich-Cape Town Route

Cape Town is among the key destinations benefiting from this daily service with the new upgraded cabin experience. Other Munich-operated Allegris flights include New York (John F. Kennedy and New Jersey-Newark), Chicago, Miami, Shanghai, and Tokyo.

Lufthansa noted, “This is the largest number of Allegris destinations operating simultaneously since its debut.”

Fleet Updates 

Currently, ten Airbus A350-900s outfitted with Allegris interiors are already flying for Lufthansa in the winter schedule.

Meanwhile, Lufthansa plans to introduce Allegris in Frankfurt this year with the Boeing 787-9, and begin retrofitting its existing fleet, starting with the Boeing 747-8.

Brussels Airlines Expands African Connectivity

Beyond the Allegris rollout, Brussels Airlines is expanding its African network, increasing weekly flights to Lomé (Togo), Dakar (Senegal), Conakry (Guinea), Monrovia (Liberia), Accra (Ghana), and Freetown (Sierra Leone).”
