Lulu Rasebotsa Re-Elected Chairperson of AASA for 2024-2025
Prof. John Lamola appointed Deputy Chair at AASA's 54th AGM
The Airlines Association of Southern Africa (AASA) has reported the re-election of Ms. Lulu Rasebotsa as Chair, and the election of Prof. John Lamola as Deputy Chair.
This decision was made at the 54th Annual General Meeting, where both will serve for the next 12 months.
Ms. Rasebotsa, General Manager of Air Botswana, and Prof. Lamola, Interim CEO of South African Airways, will guide AASA in its engagements with governments, regulators, airport operators, and other industry stakeholders.
AASA CEO Aaron Munetsi stated that their leadership will ensure the association’s goal of fostering competitive, affordable, and sustainable air transport across Africa.
The annual general assembly, hosted by FlySafair and held in Paarl near Cape Town, South Africa, attracted over 200 delegates from various sectors, including airlines, airports, and industry suppliers.
