The Airlines Association of Southern Africa (AASA) has reported the re-election of Ms. Lulu Rasebotsa as Chair, and the election of Prof. John Lamola as Deputy Chair.

This decision was made at the 54th Annual General Meeting, where both will serve for the next 12 months.

Ms. Rasebotsa, General Manager of Air Botswana, and Prof. Lamola, Interim CEO of South African Airways, will guide AASA in its engagements with governments, regulators, airport operators, and other industry stakeholders.

The annual general assembly, hosted by FlySafair and held in Paarl near Cape Town, South Africa, attracted over 200 delegates from various sectors, including airlines, airports, and industry suppliers.
